Dagelijks leven in Ijsland/My daily life in Iceland

If ever you thought life was different here, you were wrong. Really?? Well, you decide. Most of the comments to the pictures are written in English, some of them in Flemish, and a few words here and there in Icelandic. Just to throw you off.

This past weekend the four of us went to London, England for some culture, fun, good food, football, and (hey, theres 3 icelanders) some shopping...and we had a great time. First of all, the kids did not know at all we were going some place - actually, very few people did, and we told them exactly 50 minutes before we were to leave home for the airport, after we picked them unexpectedly up from school: they were FLABBERGASTED (I only wrote this story to be able to use this word I love: flabbergasted) . In London, we went to the Eye of London, saw the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, doubledeckers, Undergrounds, Hamleys (huge toy store), Stomp (a theatre piece with only sounds), football game, a few museums and lots and lots of different people. We like London! Posted by Picasa
